The Role: Project Manager

We’re looking for a seasoned Project Manager with a strong background in residential home systems to join our team. This isn’t your average PM gig—we’re not slapping on coats of paint and calling it a day. You’ll be managing a range of projects from quick specialist visits to complex, high-touch projects, all for homeowners who expect simplicity, precision, integrity, and results.

You’ll work directly with our members to scope and execute larger or specialty projects, from HVAC system overhauls to full-room renovations. You’ll evaluate scopes of work, source and manage subcontractors, and be accountable for delivering on time, on budget, and to Birdwatch’s quality standards. That means being as comfortable reviewing a crawlspace report as you are explaining next steps to a client over coffee.

This Might Be for You If:

• You have a wide background in home systems—a home inspector license, general contracting experience, construction management degree, field management role for a builder, or similar technical expertise.
• You know what “good work” looks like in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and more—and you can price it, vet it, and manage it.
• You’re fluent in technology and comfortable working with our project and member management platforms.
• You’ve worked in premium residential environments and know how to navigate the expectations that come with nice properties and high-touch clients.
• You can manage vendors like a boss—from solo tradespeople to larger subcontracting crews—and bring out their best work.
• You’re an exceptional communicator who leads with patience, empathy, and clarity—for both our members and our partners.
• You advocate for craftsmanship and want to spotlight the tradespeople doing amazing work behind the scenes.

In This Role, You Will:

• Scope and execute complex home projects in collaboration with our Member Support and Field Operations teams
• Build and maintain relationships with high-quality subcontractors and vendors
• Own timelines, budgets, quality control, and client communication throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide expert insight on pricing, material selection, and trade coordination
• Ensure every project reflects Birdwatch’s values: thoughtful service, technical excellence, and pride in a job well done
