About the Role:
As a Lead Financial Advisor, you will be instrumental in delivering tailored financial advice to startup employees, founders, and executives. This entrepreneurial role presents an opportunity to develop a niche book of business and work cross-functionally with different departments to build a tech-forward practice in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What You’ll Do:
Client Advisory & Relationship Management:
- Be hands-on with our clients, providing high-touch, personalized financial advice that includes equity compensation planning, tax optimization, retirement planning, and more.
- Develop and maintain deep, trusted relationships with high-net-worth clients, guiding them through key financial decisions and transitions.
- Embrace a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and collaboration within the advisory team.
- Be a key driver of business growth through client acquisition efforts.
Equity Compensation Expertise:
- Provide thought leadership on equity compensation topics both internally and externally, staying ahead of trends and regulatory changes.
- Educate clients, and work with team members on the nuances of stock options, RSUs, and tax planning for startup employees and founders.
Operations:
- Help shape scalable systems (tech stack and processes) for delivering customized financial advice, ensuring consistency, client satisfaction, and quality as we grow.
Who You Are:
- You have 7+ years of experience in financial advisory, wealth management, or related roles, with expertise in equity compensation.
- You’re passionate about serving startup employees and executives, understanding the unique challenges they face when managing equity compensation.
- You’re skilled at client relationship management, especially with high-net-worth individuals, and have a proven track record of delivering tailored, high-impact financial advice.
- You are tech-savvy and open to leveraging new tools to improve client experiences and advisory efficiency.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field (CFP designation or advanced degree is a plus).
- You are flexible and comfortable with the changes and improvements that come with startup culture.
