These partners typically include financial advisors, venture ecosystem participants, and other intermediaries who work closely with founders, executives, and employees at growth-stage companies.

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Ecosystem Partnerships to build and scale Secfi's partnerships channel from the ground up.

This role is for a builder. You will create Secfi’s partnerships engine: identifying the right partner ecosystems, developing outreach strategies, building trusted relationships, and generating a consistent pipeline of introductions. You'll design the playbook, structure the economics, and do the work: reaching out to potential partners, building relationships, and following through to activation.

The right candidate combines strategic thinking with relentless execution. You understand that a great partnership creates a win on both sides, and you use that insight to craft compelling stories and durable strategies. You're comfortable shaping direction, but you genuinely enjoy being in the weeds. You're persistent, you learn quickly from what doesn't work, iterate, and stick with it until it does.

A key part of this role is making the partnerships channel institutionalized and scalable, building systems and processes that allow it to grow well beyond any single relationship.

Responsibilities:

Building the channel

  • Build Secfi's ecosystem partnerships channel from the ground up — designing the framework, economics, and materials that make it repeatable and scalable
  • Identify and prioritize the right partner ecosystems: financial advisors, wealth managers, venture firms, accelerators, law firms, and other intermediaries serving founders and employees at growth-stage companies
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to engage, onboard, and activate partners
  • Structure partnership models that create genuine value on both sides
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships across the ecosystem — you are Secfi's face to these partners
  • Represent Secfi at industry events and through direct partner engagement

Running the channel

  • Own the full partnerships funnel from target identification through activation and referral generation
  • Keep partners active and engaged through enablement, regular touchpoints, and ensuring they have what they need to refer confidently
  • Maintain structured tracking of partner activity and referrals in CRM
  • Route and hand off partner-generated opportunities to Secfi's BD and liquidity teams
  • Surface market intelligence from your ecosystem conversations back into Secfi's strategy
  • Build the playbooks and processes that allow the channel to scale beyond you
  • Track performance metrics and continuously iterate on what's working

Core Qualifications:

  • You have at least 8 years of experience (but we care far more about what you've built than how long you've been building)
  • You've been around the startup ecosystem long enough to have real relationships, real scar tissue, and a genuine point of view; but you're still hungry enough to do the work yourself
  • You've built something from scratch before, a channel, a program, a book of business, and you have the results to show for it
  • Comfortable calling on senior, sophisticated audiences: financial advisors, VCs, wealth managers, or institutional professionals. And hold your own in the room
  • Strong commercial instincts. You understand what makes a partnership work for both sides, and you can structure deals accordingly
  • Deeply organized and self-directed. You don't need a playbook, a team, or a warm intro to get started

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience working with financial advisors or professional intermediaries
  • Experience collaborating with venture ecosystems or startup communities
  • Familiarity with startup equity or employee liquidity challenges
  • Experience building partnership programs from scratch
