About Secfi Wealth Management:
Secfi Wealth Management is an early-stage, registered investment advisor (RIA) startup on a mission to transform how startup employees and executives manage their equity compensation. We’re building a specialized firm focused on the unique financial needs of clients who receive stock options, RSUs, and other forms of equity compensation. Combining deep industry expertise with tech-driven solutions, we empower our clients to unlock the full potential of their wealth as they navigate the complexities of equity ownership.
We’re a fast-growing firm with big ambitions and are looking for a dynamic advisor who’s ready to help shape and grow the future of our financial advisory services.
About the Role:
This is a role for a builder.
You'll be joining a small advisory team at an early and exciting stage of our growth. In the near term, this role is heavily focused on business development: growing your own book, contributing to the broader Secfi Wealth pipeline, and establishing yourself as a credible voice in the equity compensation space. Over time, as your book grows, the balance naturally shifts toward client relationship management and deep advisory work.
If you're looking for a steady flow of leads handed to you, this isn't the right fit. If you're energized by the idea of building a book from the ground up with real support, a warm brand, and a differentiated value prop, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:
Business Development (primary focus, early stage)
- Grow your book of business through referral networks, content creation, client events, and Secfi's existing network of startup employees and equity holders
- Build a personal brand as a subject matter expert in equity compensation: writing, speaking, educating publicly
- Collaborate with BD and advisory teammates to develop and convert pipeline
- Leverage Secfi's brand recognition and warm network as a launchpad for organic growth
Client Advisory
- Deliver high-touch, personalized financial planning to startup employees, founders, and executives
- Advise on equity compensation planning, tax optimization, retirement planning, and wealth management strategy
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with high-net-worth and high-potential clients navigating complex equity and financial decisions
Firm Building
- Contribute to the systems, processes, and tech stack that will scale Secfi Wealth
- Work cross-functionally with the broader Secfi platform to serve clients holistically
Who You Are:
- You have 7+ years of experience in financial advisory, wealth management, or related roles, with expertise in equity compensation.
- You've operated with some degree of independence and you know what it means to own a client relationship, not just service one
- You're a self-starter who's comfortable creating your own opportunities
- You're passionate about the startup and equity compensation space or genuinely eager to develop a niche around it
- You're tech-savvy, curious, and want to build
- CFP or advanced degree is a plus, but not required if you've got the experience and the drive
Why Secfi Wealth?:
- Join a mission-driven startup that’s reimagining financial advice for startup employees and equity holders.
- Rare opportunity to join a firm early enough that your work directly shapes its future, with the compensation structure and equity upside to match. Not just a small cog in a big machine.
- Work alongside a passionate and ambitious advisory team to make a real impact in our clients’ lives.
